Project Scope

BMWC has an integral role in constructing TSMC’s newest semiconductor fab in Phoenix, AZ. What began in 2022 as a single process piping and tool hook-up project has evolved over the years and expanded to multiple projects throughout the Phoenix campus. Based on BMWC’s successful delivery of our first project with TSMC, our scope has grown over the last 3 years. To date, BMWC has completed $25M of work, which includes the installation of process piping, supports, and tool hookups for process gas and water systems. BMWC’s direct-hire work included a peak of 105 pipefitters, 15 project management staff members, and 130,000 craft hours with zero recordable injuries while installing over 50,000 linear feet of piping across 175 systems.

Communication has been critical to BMWC’s success at TSMC. To alleviate language barriers and ensure clear and concise communication between BMWC and our client, the BMWC project management team includes a Mandarin-speaking project engineer, which has increased productivity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities for both BMWC and our client.
